How to Access Your GL.iNet FlashRouter Settings

This quick guide walk you through connecting to your GL.iNet FlashRouter (Flint, Slate, Beryl, or Marble) and logging into the admin settings page. You’ll use either WiFi or an Ethernet cable, then access the router dashboard through your browser.

Step 1. Connect Your Device to the Router

You can connect by WiFi or Ethernet:

WiFi: Look for a network name like FlashRouter24 or FlashRouter50
- The WiFi password has been set to: Wireless#9483C
- ⚠️ Be sure to capitalize the “W” in
Ethernet: Plug an Ethernet cable from your computer into one of the router’s LAN ports (usually marked or color-coded differently from the WAN port).

👉 Pro tip: Disconnect from any other WiFi networks during setup.

Step 2. Open the Router Login Page

Open a web browser (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).
In the address bar, type: 192.168.8.1
Press Enter.

This is the local router dashboard address (not a public website). If the page doesn’t load:

Try a different browser.
Clear your cache.
Ensure your device is connected to the FlashRouter network.

Step 3. Log In to the Router Settings

Default password: glopenwrt1 or openwrt
This is the factory default for all GL.iNet routers shipped by FlashRouters.

💡 Once you’re in, you can update your admin password in the settings for extra security.

Default Encryption (AES-128) typically provides faster speeds.
Strong Encryption (AES-256) provides stronger encryption.

Verify a successful PIA connection

Navigate to Status > OpenVPN

You should now see a CONNECTED SUCCESS message.
Visit PIA’s IP Check to verify your new IP address and virtual location.

In some cases you may notice that the location is not showing the same location as the server you have input in your router settings; this is because geo tracking tools are often tricked by VPN connections. As long as you see an IP address that is not the same as your normal Internet IP address then you are indeed connected to PIA.

Back up your settings

Navigate to Administration > Backup

Click the Backup button.
A file named nvrambak.bin will be saved to your computer.
You can load nvrambak.bin to restore your settings in the event of a reset.

How to change the PIA server

Copy the new PIA server address from the above server list.
Paste the server into the Server IP/Name field.
Click Apply Settings.

What company do you use for shipping?

For domestic shipping, we offer United State Postal Service (USPS), and a FedEx Expedited 2-3 Day delivery option.

For International shipments, we offer USPS and FedEx.

Where do you ship from?

We ship all packages from our New Jersey warehouse.

How much does shipping cost?

Domestic Customers:

Free Standard Shipping 3-10 day Delivery when you purchase a router with any Service Plan.
$20 Flat Rate FedEx 2-3 Day Express shipping

International Customers:

Pricing for USPS, and FedEx will vary by country. You can see rates on the Shipping Estimate tab on any FlashRouters product page. FlashRouters does not add any internal handling fees to international rates.
Note: Customers pay customs, duties, processing fees, and taxes (if applicable).

How fast do you ship?

We aim to ship your purchase within 1-2 business days from the original order date.

There may be a delay of up to 24 hours if our configuration team is unable to configure your router as requested. In these cases, our support team will reach out to you in an attempt to find a solution. If the team does not hear back from you within 24 hours they will ship out the unit to avoid further delays. Keep in mind our support team will be available to assist if you have any setup issues once you receive your router.

Who pays for shipping?

Domestic customers can choose Free standard shipping. Customers pay shipping costs including customs, duties, processing fees, and taxes (if applicable) for all other options.

Can you ship to my country?

We ship to almost all countries around the world with some exclusions. If you would like to ship to any of these excluded countries, we recommend using PayPal and a Freight forwarding service such as Aramex, MyUS, or Shipito.

Another option if you are located in a country we do not ship to is to purchase a compatible router locally that we can flash remotely for you via our Flash My Router plan. A full list of compatible routers are listed there.

Customs and Expenses

Will there be extra customs charges when my FlashRouter arrives?

There may be additional customs fees incurred based on the local importation laws of your country. You (the recipient) are responsible for all customs fees charged by your country’s customs agency.

Customs charges are NOT factored into the FlashRouters shipping cost.

All customs fees will be a separate charge and must be paid for by the recipient of the package.

We do our best to inform you of possible customs fees to the best of our ability, however we will not accept returns because of refusal to pay these fees.

If we receive a return due to failure to pay customs fees, you will be refunded but ONLY for the price of the FlashRouter. Original Shipping charges will NOT be refunded.

We do our best to make FlashRouters’ shipping quick and affordable but are unable to foresee all customs-related issues. Please be sure to check before ordering if you are concerned with local customs fees.

Do you charge sales tax?

We will charge sales tax in any state where we are required to do so. Currently that is within New Jersey, due to the fact that this is the physical location of our business and New York but that is subject to change as law dictates.

Any taxes or customs fees that are incurred to your country’s current policies are out of our hands. We do our best to make the router and the shipping quick and affordable.

Privacy Hero Change VPN Providers

Your Privacy Hero router uses Cloud Based router management which means you can access the router settings from anywhere on any device that has an internet connection. You can follow these steps while connected to your phone, other Wi-Fi network, or the Privacy Hero network.

Each Privacy Hero router comes with a year free of Privacy Hero WireGuard VPN and can be setup for NordVPN and Surfshark users as well. Use these steps to change between the VPN providers to find the best connection for your needs.

1. From any device that has a browser such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet visit app.privacyhero.com

2. Enter your Privacy Hero account email and password. Click Login.

If you have not created your Privacy Hero account yet please follow these instructions.

3. Click the VPN symbol.

4. Click the Change button and select the VPN provider that you want to use.

Follow our guides for connecting to NordVPN or Surfshark. If you are switching to Privacy Hero VPN just select it from dropdown and toggle the VPN switch to On.

How to Access Your AsusWRT FlashRouter Settings

This quick guide will walk you through connecting to your AsusWRT FlashRouter and logging into the admin settings page. You’ll use either WiFi or an Ethernet cable, then access the router dashboard through your browser.

Step 1. Connect Your Device to the Router

You can connect by WiFi or Ethernet:

WiFi: Look for a network name like FlashRouter24 or FlashRouter50.
- The WiFi password is set to: Wireless#[First 5 characters of your router’s MAC]
- Example: If your MAC is CC28A07E70A8, your WiFi password is Wireless#CC28A.
- ⚠️ Be sure to capitalize the “W” in Wireless.
Ethernet: Plug an Ethernet cable from your computer into one of the router’s LAN ports (usually marked or color-coded differently from the WAN port).

Step 2. Open the Router Login Page

In the address bar, type: 192.168.50.1 or go to asusrouter.com
Press Enter.

How do I access my Roqos device settings?

Your Roqos Core’s settings or UI (User Interface) is accessible via a secure cloud based connection rather than the typical local access of other routers. This means that you can manage your Roqos from anywhere in the world not just at home.

Visit the Roqos Login URL

From any device that has a browser such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet visit login.roqos.com

Login with your Roqos account

Enter in the email and password that you set when your Roqos was initially setup. If you still need to create your Roqos account and activate your Roqos follow our Activate and Connect Roqos to Internet guide.

Proceed with making the changes to the settings you desire

CyberGhost AsusWRT OpenVPN Setup

Preparing for CyberGhost Setup

Obtain your CyberGhost OpenVPN information

If you are not already a CyberGhost user Sign Up Now.

1. Log in to your account on the CyberGhost website.

2. Select VPN.

3. Click Configure New Device.

4. Set Protocol to OpenVPN. Select the Country you would like to connect to. Select the Server Group. Name the device in the Device Name field. Click Save Configuration.

5. Press View configuration.

6. Copy the Username, and Password that appear to a notepad, since you will need this information later in the setup process. Click Download Configuration.

CyberGhost Website OpenVPN Configuration Files Generator 1

Open the folder that was downloaded. Then open the ca.crt the client.crt, and client.key files with NotePad++ for Windows or TextEdit for Apple. All CyberGhost servers have different keys and certificates.

AsusWRT Router Setup for CyberGhost

Login to AsusWRT firmware settings in a browser on any computer or smart device connected to the AsusWRT FlashRouter’s network.

1. Navigate to the VPN tab.

2. Navigate to the VPN Fusion tab.

3. Click Add profile.

4. In the Connection Name field enter in the name you’d like to use for this OpenVPN Client profile. We typically advise entering in the location or server number here. Our example server was in USA so I have entered in CyberGhost USA.

5. In the VPN Type dropdown select OpenVPN.

6. Click Import .ovpn file and select the openvpn.ovpn file from the folder you downloaded earlier. Then click Upload.

7. In the Username and Password fields enter in the CyberGhost assigned username and password that you obtained earlier.

8. After uploading the openvpn.ovpn file you will get a message that says “Complete, Lack of Client Key!, Lack of Client Certificate, Lack of Certificate Authority”. For CyberGhost you need to enter in these details manually. Click Import the CA file or edit the .ovpn file manually and then click the edit icon next to Content modification of Keys and Certificate.

9. In the Certificate Authority field paste in the entire content of the ca.crt file.

10. In the Client Certificate field paste in the entire content of the client.crt file.

—– BEGIN xxx —– / —– END xxx —– block (including those two lines).

11. In the Client Key field paste in the entire content of the client.key file.

—– BEGIN xxx —– / —– END xxx —– block (including those two lines).

Then click OK.

8. Click Apply and Enable at the bottom of the page.

If you only want certain devices to connect to the OpenVPN Client profile you are setting up instead of all the devices connected to the FlashRouter’s network click into the profile and disable Apply to all devices. Then click Devices and select the devices that you want to connect to VPN.

9. At the top of the page set the Service State toggle to ON to activate the VPN connection.

Verify a successful CyberGhost connection

You should now see a CONNECTED message.
Visit What is my IP Address from a private/incognito browser to verify your new IP address and virtual location.

How to change the CyberGhost server

Follow the steps at the top of the page to create a new CyberGhost location profile in your account.
Then proceed with the settings same as initial setup.

ExpressVPN Merlin OpenVPN Setup

Preparing for ExpressVPN Merlin Setup

Obtain your ExpressVPN OpenVPN Information

If you are not already an ExpressVPN user Sign Up Now.

1. Log in to your account on the ExpressVPN website.

2. Successfully log in with your account information. Select More.

3. Select Manual Configuration and copy the Username and Password that are displayed on the right hand side of the screen.

4. Click the Server Location that you want to connect to. This will download a .ovpn file to your computer that we will use later on. There is no need to open the file. For this example I have selected New York but feel free to select any server listed there.

Merlin Router Setup for ExpressVPN

Login to Asus Merlin firmware settings in a browser on any computer or smart device connected to the Merlin FlashRouter’s network.

1. Navigate to the VPN tab.

2. Navigate to the VPN Client tab.

3. Click Choose file and select the .ovpn file you downloaded earlier. Then click Upload.

4. Set Automatic Start at boot time to Yes if you want the VPN connection to begin automatically when the router is powered off and back on.

5. In the Description field enter in the name you’d like to use for this OpenVPN Client profile. We typically advise entering in the location or server number here. Our example server was in New York so I have entered in ExpressVPN New York.

6. Set Accept DNS Configuration to Strict. Set Redirect Internet traffic through tunnel to Yes (all). Set Kill Switch to Yes or No depending on if you want the Internet to be killed if the VPN connection drops.

If you only want certain devices to connect to the OpenVPN Client profile you are setting up instead of all the devices connected to the FlashRouter’s network please set the Redirect Internet traffic through tunnel to VPN Director. Then complete the instructions on this page and then view our VPN Director guide.

7. Enter your ExpressVPN username and password that you obtained earlier in the Username and Password. Note that these are different from your ExpressVPN email login and password.

8. Click Apply at the bottom of the page.

9. At the top of the page set the Service State toggle to ON to activate the VPN connection.

Verify a successful ExpressVPN connection

You should now see a CONNECTED message.
Visit ExpressVPN’s IP Check to verify your new IP address and virtual location.

How to change the ExpressVPN server

Copy the new ExpressVPN server address from the below server list.

My WiFi password is not working

Keep in mind that passwords are case sensitive.

The preset DD-WRT FlashRouter WiFi password is Wireless#[First 5 characters of your router MAC]. The router MAC can be found on the bottom of your router. For e.g. if your MAC is 1459C07E70A8 then your WiFi password is Wireless#1459C

Verify wireless password

Connect an ethernet cable from a numbered port on the FlashRouter to a computer and access the FlashRouter’s settings.

Navigate to Wireless > Wireless Security

Check the Unmask box and note the wireless password that is entered.

Verify the wireless settings

Make sure that you have WPA2 Personal / AES set as the security settings for all bands. For some router models make sure the CCMP-128 (AES) box is checked for all bands.

Forget network on your device

Wireless devices usually offer a “forget” network feature to remove a wireless network from the saved information of the wireless adapter. If you have updated your WiFi password and are trying to connect on a device that previously used the old WiFi password then removing the wireless network and then trying to connect fresh can help with this issue.

Why is my WiFi signal weak?

If you find that wireless signal strength is weak while connected to the FlashRouter’s network we recommend that you do the following:

Make sure that you have the external antennas fully connected to the FlashRouter.
“Forget” the wireless network on the device and then rejoin with a fresh connection. This will be different for each device but can be effective.
Make sure you are within an appropriate range for the network you are using. Keep in mind that a 2.4GHz network will always have better range than 5GHz networks. Devices further away from the router should use the 2.4GHz network.
Interference from your wireless environment can also cause this issue. On the Wireless > Basic Settings adjust the Wireless Channel for the network you are experiencing the issue for. Channel interference is a likely cause for weak signal strength.

How do I connect a Wireless Extender to my FlashRouter network?

The settings of your FlashRouter do not need to change to connect an extender to the FlashRouter’s network. Simply access the settings of the extender device and enter the FlashRouter’s wireless network name and the correct wireless password.

The extender will then connect via wireless to the FlashRouter and add wireless range to your network.

To use a DD-WRT router as an extender follow our Advanced Wireless Setup Guides.

It is also easy to setup a Mesh system like Orbi or Velop and send your entire Mesh network through the FlashRouter VPN Network, for a VPN connected Mesh Network.

Simply connect from an open LAN port on your FlashRouter to the WAN port on your Mesh base station and then use your Mesh smart apps to complete the setup from there.

Cudy Internet Setup

Follow this article when you receive your new Cudy FlashRouter to connect it to the Internet.

1. Connect the ethernet cable that came with the router from an open LAN ethernet port on your ISP modem or other router to the WAN port if you purchased a Cudy AX3000 or to ethernet port #1 of the device marked Primary if you purchased a Cudy M1800 or Cudy M3000.

2. Connect the power to the router and wait about 2 minutes for the router to fully boot up.

3. Connect your computer, phone, or tablet to the Cudy router via wireless (FlashRouter24 / FlashRouter50) or via ethernet cable to one of the LAN ports on the router.

The FlashRouter WiFi password is printed on the sheet that came with the router and is set to Wireless#[First 5 characters of your router MAC]. The router MAC can be found on the bottom of your router if you cannot locate the sheet. For e.g. if your MAC is 1459C07E70A8 then your WiFi password is Wireless#1459C

Be sure to capitalize the W.

4. Once connected via wireless or ethernet on your device open your browser and go to 192.168.10.1

5. Enter openwrt as the admin password to access the Cudy firmware settings.

6. Verify that your Cudy FlashRouter is reporting as Internet and WAN Connected.

7. If you purchased a Cudy M1800 or Cudy M3000 mesh package you can now take the unit labeled Node to the location you want it connecting from and power it up. NordVPN Cudy OpenVPN Setup

Preparing for NordVPN Cudy Setup

Obtain your NordVPN manual Username and Password

If you are not already an NordVPN user Sign Up Now.

1. Log in to your account on the NordVPN website.

2. Click NordVPN on the left hand side and then click Setup NordVPN manually.

3. Enter in the verification code that was sent to your email.

4. Copy and paste your NordVPN manual username and password to a secure location. This is the username and password you will enter into the router settings to connect to NordVPN.

Download your NordVPN .ovpn file

1. There are two options for obtaining the .ovpn file. The first and recommended is to navigate to NordVPN’s server recommendation page. Click Recommended Server to display the fastest server based on your actual location. You can adjust the country if you don’t want to connect to the recommended country.

Then click Show Available Protocols. Click Download Config next to OpenVPN UDP. This will download the .ovpn file to your computer for this server. Do not open this file.

The second method to obtain a server is for connecting to a specific server number that you know you want to use. This applies to NordVPN Dedicated IP servers if you are signed up for that service. Go to NordVPN’s .ovpn file page. Then search for the server number that you want to use and click Download UDP.

Login to Cudy firmware settings in a browser on any computer or smart device connected to the Cudy FlashRouter’s network.

1. Click General Settings.

2. Click VPN.

3. Toggle the Enable switch to On.

4. Select OpenVPN Client from the Protocol dropdown.

5. Click Browse and select the .ovpn file you downloaded earlier. You should see the server file name listed next to Current Config File after doing so.

6. Enter your NordVPN username and password that you obtained earlier in the Username and Password. Note that these are different from your NordVPN email login and password.

CyberGhost Merlin OpenVPN Setup

Obtain your CyberGhost OpenVPN information

If you are not already a CyberGhost user Sign Up Now.

1. Log in to your account on the CyberGhost website.

2. Select VPN.

3. Click Configure New Device.

4. Set Protocol to OpenVPN. Select the Country you would like to connect to. Select the Server Group. Name the device in the Device Name field. Click Save Configuration.

5. Press View configuration.

6. Copy the Username, and Password that appear to a notepad, since you will need this information later in the setup process. Click Download Configuration.

Merlin Router Setup for CyberGhost

Login to Asus Merlin firmware settings in a browser on any computer or smart device connected to the Merlin FlashRouter’s network.

1. Navigate to the VPN tab.

2. Navigate to the VPN Client tab.

3. Click Choose file and select the .ovpn file from the folder you downloaded earlier. Then click Upload.

4. Set Automatic Start at boot time to Yes if you want the VPN connection to begin automatically when the router is powered off and back on.

5. In the Description field enter in the name you’d like to use for this OpenVPN Client profile. We typically advise entering in the location here. Our example server was in USA so I have entered in CyberGhost USA.

7. Enter your CyberGhost OpenVPN username and password that you obtained earlier. Do not enter your account login.

8. Click the Edit button in the Keys and Certificates area.

9. In the Certificate Authority field paste in the entire content of the ca.crt file.

Privacy Hero Streaming Relocation

Use these steps change your location for popular streaming services allowing you to access to regionally restricted content. Privacy Hero uses DNS routing to change your location which is a great way around VPN streaming blocks.

2. Enter your Privacy Hero account email and password. Click Login.

3. Click the Streaming symbol.

4. Set the Streaming Relocation toggle to On.

This streaming relocation feature will not change your IP address in the way that a VPN does. This is why it is not able to be blocked in the same way that a VPN connection can be.

The listed services on the streaming relocation page will not be connected to VPN even if the Privacy Hero has an active VPN connection. These services are set to bypass the router’s VPN tunnel to avoid streaming blocks.

StrongVPN WireGuard Setup

DD-WRT Router Setup for StrongVPN WireGuard

StrongVPN Wireguard DD-WRT setup is now officially supported by FlashRouters. Follow the steps below to gather all the required information to complete your Wireguard router setup.

Navigate to Security > Firewall

Set SPI Firewall to Disable.

Click Save at the bottom of the page.

Select your actual time zone for you physical location from the dropdown and enter 1.pool.ntp.org in the Server IP/Name dropdown.

Preparing for StrongVPN WireGuard Setup

Obtain your StrongVPN WireGuard Information

If you are not already a StrongVPN user Sign Up Now.

1. Log in to your account on the StrongVPN website.

2. Select Router icon as the Platform

Select Router for StrongVPN WireGuard Platform

3. Select the Advanced Options dropdown and then check Exclude LAN Traffic and set any value between 52000 and 60000 in the Custom Port field.

4. Select the Server Location from the dropdown that you would like to connect to.

6. Click the DD-WRT installer script box to copy.

Delete the very last line sleep 8 && reboot.

Click Save Custom (or Save Custom Script may appear depending on your firmware build, they are the same thing)

Copy the line below and paste into the empty Commands Shell.

sh /tmp/.rc_custom

Click Run Commands.

Wait two minutes and then power the FlashRouter off and back on. Reconnect to the FlashRouter’s network when it has booted back up.

Verify a successful StrongVPN WireGuard connection

Navigate to Setup > Tunnels

You should now see that page filled in with WireGuard info.
Visit StrongVPN’s IP Check to verify your new IP address and virtual location.

Back up your settings

Navigate to Administration > Backup

Static network settings set on a device from a previous connection will interfere with the FlashRouter’s network. Typically the FlashRouter’s network performs best when connected devices are set to automatically use the FlashRouter’s IP Address and DNS.

Make sure you are connected to the FlashRouter’s network via ethernet or WiFi. Keep in mind these instructions may vary based on your current software version.

Check for Static IP Address in Windows

1. Open the Window search box, and search “Network Status”

3. Right click on the WiFi and/or ethernet adapter and select Properties.

4. Highlight Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4) and click Properties.

5. Delete the values entered for IP address, Subnet mask, Default gateway, Preferred DNS server, and Alternate DNS server.

6. Select Obtain an IP address automatically and Obtain DNS server address automatically.

7. Click OK.

Check for Static IP Address in Apple / Mac

1. Open System Preferences, and select Network.

2. Select the adapter that is connected via ethernet or wireless. This will vary based on your current connection.

3. Select Advanced.

4. Select the TCP/IP tab.

5. Set Configure IPv4 to Automatically.

6. Select the DNS field and highlight any DNS servers you see there. If they can be removed you should click the minus symbol below.

7. Click OK.

8. Click Apply.

Check for Static IP Address in iOS

1. Open Settings

2. Select WiFi, and select the blue icon next to your current connection.

3. Make sure Configure IP is set to Automatically.

1. From the top of the screen, swipe down to display settings.

2. Select WiFi.

How do I upgrade the DD-WRT firmware of my FlashRouter?

The following DD-WRT builds are from 11/24/2024 r58699. Keep in mind that these builds are for upgrading routers that already have DD-WRT firmware flashed. To flash a stock firmware router with DD-WRT firmware see our Flash My Router plan!

Download an updated DD-WRT firmware build for your specific FlashRouter model below. Contact support@flashrouters.com if you are uncertain about your router model or your router model is not available below.

Please be aware that FlashRouters is not responsible for any DIY firmware flashing updates. If you have questions or concerns contact FlashRouters Support or check out the DD-WRT Community for additional helpful resources.

Make sure you are following the directions below to load the firmware file into the router settings and not trying to open the firmware file on its own.

Access the FlashRouter via wired connection. It is possible to upgrade firmware via WiFi, but this is not recommended unless you are unable to wire directly to the router.

Navigate to Administration > Firmware Upgrade

Do NOT select Reset to Default Settings in the dropdown menu as this will erase all of your FlashRouter settings.
NOTE: If you are updating from an older DD-WRT build you may be required to reset the router after a firmware update for new features and UI to properly load. You will then be required to setup the administration username and password along with your WiFi and VPN network settings.
Click Choose File and select the file you have downloaded.
Click Upgrade.

Privacy Hero Adblocking Malware and Phishing Prevention Setup

Privacy Hero Bedtime Settings (Internet Scheduler)

The Bedtime settings feature allows users to schedule when internet access will be turned off for specific user profiles. All devices assigned to this profile will have these rules applied.

1. From any device that has a browser such as a computer, smartphone, or tablet visit app.privacyhero.com

2. Enter your Privacy Hero account email and password. Click Login.

If you have not created your Privacy Hero account yet please follow these instructions.

3. Click the Profiles symbol.

4. Click the name of the User Profile.

5. Click Schoolnights or Weekends depending on which you need to set rules for.

7. Set the Bedtime toggle to On.

Wireless Guest Network Setup – Unbridged (Recommended)

If you would like to prevent visitors from connecting to your main WiFi network then you can create a separate Guest Network that will prevent access to the main router. This setup also allows you to create different rules for different WiFi SSID’s in your home ranging from QoS controls, access restrictions, VPN network segmentation, and more.

Preparing for Wireless Guest Network Setup

If you have a Dual-band or Tri-Band router you can setup a WiFi Guest Network, creating a separate VLAN (virtual local area network) for your visitors, or in order to segment your VPN networks on any band you like. We recommend using the 2.4GHz network for your DD-WRT Guest Wireless Network so it is compatible with the most possible WiFi devices. Setting up a guest network for visitors in your home allows you to keep them off of your main WiFi network.

We recommend performing this setup while connected to the FlashRouter via ethernet cable. If your computer does not have an ethernet port and you must proceed via wireless connection to the FlashRouter. Be sure to pay attention to the wireless connection as you may need to rejoin the FlashRouter’s network after making changes.

Enter Wireless settings

Navigate to Wireless > Basic Settings

Duplicate the wireless security settings that are set for the other bands for the newly created virtual interface.
Click Apply Settings.
Reboot your router.

Enable DHCP for Guest Network

Navigate to Setup > Networking

Scroll to the very bottom of the page and under DHCPD click Add.
Select wl0.1 or ath1.1 depending on your router model.
Click Apply Settings.
Reboot your router.

Depending on the router model and WiFi band you are using, the wireless interfaces will be labelled differently.

This setting can be labelled wl1.1, ath0.1, wl2.1, and so on. Make sure when you get up to the bridge assignment section that you are using the correct guest network Virtual Interface.

Back up your settings

Navigate to Administration > Backup

Click the Backup button.
A file named nvrambak.bin will be saved to your computer.
You can load nvrambak.bin to restore your settings in the event of a reset.
